... it doesn't get more "NOW" than birthday man Duke Robillard, Living Blues featured Guy Davis and the soon to be widely celebrated teenager Jontavious Willis (a remarkable new talent via MusicMaker  org). Fuelled in part by a preposterous notion on Facebook that after B B King had died   Eric Clapton would care for our music now he's the only original left.

Pish-tosh say I: the blues is pretty darn healthy on its own. In evidence we crammed the first hour with music from 2015. Selwyn Birchwood and Marquise Knox are twenty somethings and Willis is just 19. He gave us special permission to use a live video recording of him covering "Lucy Mae Blues". As yet he's not recorded officially in his own right. Slam Allen, Quintus McCormick and Joe Caruso are from am older wave of talent, no less vibrant right here, right now. Buddy Guy's latest album still continues to do the business, when he's in this mood watch out. Anthony Geraci's album is fun from top to bottom made by players just enjoying foolin' with each other.

Singin' Sammy Ward had blues in everything he did and his music came out via Motown, no surprise to see him with the vocal groups in Fantastic Voyage latest survey.
